What a weak and somewhat disrespectful introduction.. a small man saying small things ! I am impressed you were as civil as you were. I would have likely asked just how many summits? And wo O2 does it take to become a climbers climber ? Or is it a distinction of gender ?? But you were a bigger person👏💥
It’s seriously a see saw and constant battle (especially for women). It really doesn’t need to be and for some reason people choose to project. Thank you for sharing
This resonates with me SO much. When I was a professional cellist, I didn't "look" like a cellist. When I started running, I didn't "look" like runner. When I started climbing mountains, I didn't "look" like a climber. When I began spending more time in the wilderness alone, I didn't
"look" like someone who would "be out there on [her] own." When I completed medical training, and now almost a decade into independent practice, I continue to not "look" like a doctor. People make these comments to me with impunity, and have for as long as I can remember. I have no answers here! But I feel that deep frustration, for sure.
Oh Lordy, that bee in my bonnet is stinging. In my professional world, architectural lighting manufacturing , it is 90% male. In executive positions 95%. I am the national vice president of sales and the only woman on the sales team. The stories I could tell, mirror yours and are all too familiar. I keep hoping the mindsets are changing and we are making a difference for all women. Let’s keep proving them wrong!
Just know you kept me up all night, the day I started your book, cover to cover, devouring every word. Sure do love you, love your journey and love your inspiration.

I don’t want to comment on anyone’s physiology but small man is particularly apt here…..

I’m only halfway through your book and so far I’d say you were indeed a climber’s climber.
Definitely a climber and someone I truly admire, even more reading Enough.
PS, I was happy to stay up all night reading your story
❤️❤️❤️
